Laura has returned to work at Morris and Wood after her maternity leave, only to discover that the woman she brought in to cover for her isn’t planning on going anywhere. Despite her close relationship with the agency’s powerful CEO, Harry Wood, she feels sidelined—and outmaneuvered—as she struggles to balance the twin demands of work and motherhood.
Mia was only supposed to be a temporary hire at Morris and Wood, but she’s managed to make herself indispensable to everyone. Everyone, that is, except Laura. If people only knew why she was so desperate to keep her job, they might not want her to stay.
Janie gave up everything to support her husband and the successful agency he runs. But she has her own dark secret to protect…and will go to any lengths to keep it safe.
Three Perfect Liars by Heidi Perks gave me serious Pretty Guilty Women vibes, and I love that it alternates between three women while also having police interviews mixed in. This combination kept me glued to the pages and I really liked all of the women’s stories. I listened to the audio which is narrated by Sara Poyzer, Rupert Farley, and Olivia Darnley. The narration was completely on point, and I really enjoyed the audiobook which means I definitely recommend it!
Three Perfect Liars is basically a suspenseful mystery and there were also some social issues thrown in. At one point I even teared up a little bit, so it was nice that it also evokes emotion. It also felt a bit like a domestic drama which was a nice touch as well. I like when authors can mix up genres in a book and it kept things interesting for me. It is quite the page-turner, and I finished the audio in just a couple of sittings. The ending seemed a bit like something I have read before, but it still surprised me, and I was satisfied with it. The book also randomly switched between past and present which did get a little confusing but overall I was able to keep up. I would recommend to fans of suspense and who liked the formatting of Pretty Guilty Women.
